Can I request any size and crop?

Yes, in principle, any size and crop is possible! Please note that we have a maximum outer size of 50x70 cm for shipping. Would you prefer to collect your custom mat in Groningen? Then larger sizes are certainly possible! We're happy to discuss your needs, so please ask all your questions and share your wishes via our contact form.

Can I, as a private individual, also request other colours?

No, as a private individual, it's unfortunately not yet possible to request colors other than those offered as standard on our website. Our custom mats are specifically designed for unusual sizes and unique cutouts.

How do I deliver my desired crop or shape?

The easiest way is to send a clear sketch or, even better, a digital image (.svg or .png) of your desired crop via the contact form. Don't forget to specify the exact dimensions and the desired position(s) of the crop. The more specific you are, the better we can help you!

Can you make multiple cutouts in one passepartout?

Absolutely! That's no problem at all. Whether you want to create a collage of multiple photos or present a series of small artworks, we can cut multiple sections into a single custom mat. Simply specify how many sections you want, along with their dimensions and spacing.

How do I measure the correct dimensions for my custom mat?

For the outer dimensions, measure the exact dimensions of the frame glass in which the mat will be placed. For the inner dimensions (the cutout), measure the portion of your artwork or photo that you want to be visible. Allow for an overlap of approximately 0.5 cm on each side so your artwork sits neatly behind the mat and doesn't slide off. For smaller cutouts like Polaroids and similar items, we use 0.2 cm. Indicate both the width and height.

What are the costs of a custom passepartout?

The price of a custom mat is the same as the standard prices on the website! For example, if you'd like a green mat measuring 21x30cm with three different cutouts, it's only €18.95.
