Welcome to the Terms and Conditions of TOON atelier. We think it is important that everything is clear. These terms explain the rules between you and us, so you know exactly where you stand when you order something from us.

Orders are binding

No returns once the product has been taken out of its protective sleeves

Returns only after registering by email with a reason
Any loss in value due to damage will be deducted

1. Definitions
1.1. TOON atelier: the sole proprietorship TOON atelier, based in Groningen, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 87881365.
1.2. Customer: any consumer who places an order via the website.
1.3. Agreement: any purchase agreement between TOON atelier and the Customer.
1.4. Website: www.ateliertoon.com and associated subdomains.
2. Applicability
These terms apply to all orders placed via the TOON atelier website, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Formation of the agreement
The agreement is concluded at the moment of payment. TOON atelier confirms the order by email.
4. Prices and shipping costs
4.1. All prices on the website include VAT.
4.2. Shipping within the Netherlands costs €3.95 for sizes of 21x30 cm or smaller and €5.95 for sizes of 30x40 cm or larger, €6.95 to Belgium and Germany and €8.95 to the other selected EU countries. Shipping is free for orders from €60 (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany) and from €150 (other EU countries). The current rates and the list of countries can be found on the Shipping & Returns page.
4.3. For parcels returned to us because they were not collected or were incorrectly addressed, TOON atelier may charge a fee of up to €29.95 (or €59.95 for large parcels).
4.4. Obvious typing errors and colour differences on screen are reserved.
5. Payment
You can pay using the payment methods offered on the website. The order is only processed after successful payment.
6. Registration (optional)
The Customer can create an account. The Customer is responsible for keeping their login details safe.
7. Delivery and processing
7.1. Every product is made to order. The processing time is a maximum of 6 working days.
7.2. After that, the expected delivery time is 2-5 working days.
7.3. TOON atelier may engage external partners for production and shipping.
7.4. In the event of an unforeseen delay, the Customer will be informed in good time.
7.5. The risk of damage or loss passes to the Customer upon delivery.
8. Right of withdrawal (cooling-off period)
8.1. The Customer has the right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 days of receiving the product, unless it concerns custom work (see 8.5).
8.2. To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Customer must send an email within this period to hello@ateliertoon.com stating the reason for the return. TOON atelier confirms receipt of this notification.
8.3. The costs of the return shipment are for the Customer: the Customer arranges and pays for the return shipment.
8.4. In the case of a full return, the original shipping costs will also be refunded (unless the Customer chose a more expensive shipping method than the standard option).
8.5. Exception to the right of withdrawal: Passe-partouts with a custom inner size are made to measure and count as custom work. The right of withdrawal does not apply to these products, unless there is damage or an error on the part of TOON atelier.
8.6. For standard sizes: the product must be returned unused, undamaged and in its original condition. Passe-partouts may only be returned as long as they have not been removed from their plastic protective sleeves. Once the sleeves have been opened, the right of withdrawal lapses.
8.7. Fingerprints, stains, creases or tears are considered a loss in value. In the event of damage, TOON atelier may withhold part of the purchase price.
8.8. TOON atelier may postpone the refund until the product has been received back or proof of shipment has been provided.

9. Guarantee and quality
9.1. The statutory guarantee applies: the product must do what you may reasonably expect of it.
9.2. In the event of damage or errors (such as transport damage), TOON atelier will supply a replacement product free of charge or refund the purchase price.
9.3. The Customer must report complaints within a reasonable period.
10. Complaints
10.1. Complaints can be submitted by email to hello@ateliertoon.com.
10.2. We will respond in substance within 14 days.

11. Personal data
TOON atelier processes personal data in accordance with its privacy policy.
12. Other
12.1. Dutch law applies to these terms.
12.2. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Groningen, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
12.3. If any provision proves to be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
12.4. "In writing" also includes email, provided the identity of the sender has been sufficiently established.
This is a translation of the Dutch Algemene Voorwaarden. In the event of any difference, the Dutch version prevails.
