Your artwork will arrive framed and ready to go. All you have to do is attach the photo (don't worry: we'll provide the tape too) and tie a pretty bow around it. This way, you give a personal gift you can be proud of.

Choose your photo
Your phone is probably full of them, so choose that one favorite photo that makes your mother (or yourself) so happy. Whether it's a recent selfie, a memory from the past, or a fresh polaroid: we have a suitable shape for every photo. And if you have an unusual size? We'll simply custom-crop it just for you.

Select your passe-partout
This is where the design begins. Choose a shape that does justice to your photo and select one of our 10 unique colours. Will you go for a safe match with her interior or dare to choose a colourful statement? You are the designer, so you decide ;)

Add a handcrafted list
Complete the picture with a quality frame that fits your mat board perfectly. Choose from oak, wenge veneer, olive green, or burgundy. We will ensure that the frame and the mat board arrive as one unit, including acid-free tape! So all you have to do is attach the photo behind it.

Receive and hang up
We will send your artwork to you with care within 4 working days. Do you have a deadline or is it urgent? No problem, please contact us. All you have to do after that is stick the photo to the back. No fuss with glue: we supply the right tape. Add a bow and score big!

What makes TOON atelier unique?
Our passe-partouts are unique due to three key aspects.
First, we use strong, acid-free cardboard of top quality (1.7 mm thick), ensuring your art and memories remain beautiful for years without discoloration. Additionally, we offer special cut-outs, such as organic and playful shapes, which we create with a special machine. This truly gives your artwork its own distinct character. And finally, all our passe-partouts are designed and made to order in the Netherlands. This guarantees you receive a quality product crafted with great care and love!
Will I get my gift in time for Mother's Day?
We normally ship your order within 4 business days. Is this a bit tight for your schedule? Please send us an email at hello@ateliertoon.com. We'll immediately see what we can do for you and do our utmost best to get your gift to you on time!
Do I need to frame the photo myself?
Yes, the final step is yours! We deliver the artwork ready-made to you: the passe-partout is already neatly in the handmade frame. You just have to stick your own photo behind it.
No worries about fuss with glue or tape; we simply supply the correct acid-free tape. This way you can be sure that your photo stays perfectly in place and is not damaged. A piece of cake!
Can I have a custom passe-partout made?
Absolutely! In addition to our standard collection, we'd be happy to create a custom mat that perfectly fits your photo or that unique frame you already own. Whether you need a specific outer size or a special cut-out for an unusual photo format: we'll take care of it.

Which size will fit in my house?
That, of course, depends entirely on the spot you have in mind! Do you want a modest eye-catcher on a sideboard or a statement piece on the wall? In our shop, you'll find the exact dimensions of all our frames and passe-partouts.
Do you already have a nice frame at home? Then it's important to provide the correct size. The best tip: don't measure the frame itself, but measure the glass on the inside. That's the exact size your new passe-partout needs to be to fit perfectly.

How do I choose the right color?
Choosing colours from a screen can be tricky, and we understand that better than anyone. That's why we've put together the TOON Sample Pack for you. For just a few euros, we'll send you colour samples of all 10 of our unique passe-partout colours.
This way, you can easily check at home, in your own lighting, which colour best matches your photo and interior. That way, you'll be sure to get the right TOON!
